Máirín Murray is a highly creative digital leader with a passion for combining storytelling, technology and design to create effective and engaging learning products. She is the founder of Refugees Welcome NI and Tech For Good Dublin and is interested in harnessing technology to make the world a better place.
Máirín has an MSC in Multimedia Systems from Trinity College Dublin and a strong technical knowledge covering platform and digital product development.As a Senior Producer at the BBC she led the digital Blast youth service – a UK annual campaign encouraging young disadvantages people to gain confidence and skills from creative activities. Máirín is a certified project managed and digital product developer. She has managed teams, budgets and projects in a range of organisations including the BBC, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Aurion Learning.
She is a highly creative leader who encourages her team to innovate and improve and experiment with new ways of working. Máirín has recently founded her own digital content studio – Digital Doddle and is working with a number of clients in the healthcare and education sectors creating learning mobile apps, animations, videos and ecourses.
